India Cain & Keith Allen
Unique and authentic twists on some of the most widely-loved songs of all time. India brings a classical and folk music background including the Greenwich Village-inspired folk scene of the ‘60’s. Keith is a banjo player with strong Bluegrass influences, and has performed in acoustic and rock groups in Charlotte. Together, their sound covers a beautiful range of American music.

Dmitri Resnik (Jazz)
Dmitri Resnik is a guitarist/vocalist from Chatham County NC who has been playing professionally for more than 25 years. Resnik spent 12 years in New Orleans performing and touring with some of the best musicians in the city . He has 6 critically acclaimed CD's which have received substantial airplay , including NPR's "Cartalk". Resnik will be accompanied by Dave Aduddell on Upright Bass and Eric Mrozkowski on drums for a program of Louisiana roadhouse rhythms, bar room boogie, uptown swing, and downtown blues. Acoustic Piedmont bluesmen Chatham County Slim and Papa Mike will be opening the show.

The music that Rootzie offers is raw, honest, emotionally-driven, and always evolving. They offer everything from solo performances by world-class bluesman, Gregory Blaine, to an affectionate and genuine duo option of Gregory with his partner Dolores Chandler (Dolie) bringing in soulful, jazzy vocals along with auxiliary percussion, or even full band configurations that are known for bringing together the area's finest musicians as well as sharing their seasoned experience with talented newcomers on the Triangle music scene. Steve Humbert, along with Brian and Penny Jeffrey, bring together their musical spirit for fun and happiness through sounds that lead back to the lonesome pine of SW Virginia. Their original acoustic songs are influenced by coal country, rock and anything that moves them.

Ride tickets, $1 each, will be available for purchase at the Midway from carnival staff. Rides will cost 2 to 4 tickets OR a wrist band will be available for only $15 for a ride on each Fun Rides and Events ride

From the Courthouse Circle follow Business 64 East toward Raleigh and turn right onto the Fairgrounds Road* -- just east of the Food Lion Shopping Center.

President's Message

Greetings!


It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the 63rd Annual Chatham County Agriculture and Industrial Fair, September 19 thru September 21, 2013. We are celebrating 63 years of providing a fair that is fun and affordable for everyone. Once again, we are excited about joining forces with the North Carolina Cooperative Extension Service, Chatham County Center.


On behalf of the board of directors, I would like to invite you to display your arts and crafts, fruits, vegetables and livestock. Please carefully review the different categories listed on the next several pages and plan to enter your products. Registration begins for all non-perishable entries on Monday, September 16 from 1:00 PM through 6:00 PM, and continues from 9:00 AM through 6:00 PM Tuesday and Wednesday. Please note that only perishables will be accepted Thursday morning September 19, 2010 from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM.


Fun Rides and Events, Zoe the Clown and 5 Star Farm from South Carolina will provide a host of fun filled rides, games and special treats for our young kids to enjoy.


We have a prepared a fun filled three days of events for your enjoyment with music every night, both inside and outside. Come on out bring the family, smell the aroma of the food and enjoy the rides and games!
