The 2014 Fair was the most successful in over 10 years! The weather was perfect all four days and attendance exceeded 3,500. Check the website next summer for our 65th event to be held September 10-13, 2015!

Squire Red & the Blues Band
Squier Red & The Blues Band are a mature group of individuals from all walks of life who live to play Blues Music. All the members of the band are members of Squier Red's Blues Performers Meetup Group. Blues Music in its purest form is raw and unprocessed, it comes from the heart. All members of this Meetup Group play together a few times a month and money is not their motivation for playing, the love of the Blues Music is!

The core members of Last Tuesday are Bob Hartford and Mario Millner. The band is often times joined by talented percussionists, brass players, and keyboard players. Music is a world of communication, and that is what Last Tuesday is all about.

Recording Artist Isabel Taylor
Isabel writes and performs original songs, both solo and with singer/songwriter Cara Bonnett (keyboard, vocals), Tom Ed White (viola, vocals), and Janet Hadler (cello). She also covers lesser-known songs by well-loved singer/songwriters, from acoustic folk and country traditions to the artists of today. Some of her inspirations include Nanci Griffith, Emmylou Harris, James Taylor, and Neil Young. Isabel's sets comprise some songs you'll recognize and many you won't, but you'll enjoy them all.

Rosenthal can draw you into his lyrics much the same way that James Taylor and Don Henley can. Take Jackson Browne‘s personal confessions and wrap them in Kris Kristofferson‘s world weary tales of broken relationships and you have an idea of what to expect from Tokyo Rosenthal.

Thousand Ways Band
Thousand Ways is Larry Sykes and Will Bundy. Larry is a singer/songwriter based out of Fuquay-Varina. He has appeared multiple times on the LMS radio project, most recently with Will as "Thousand Ways". Will is a veteran musician and band leader of many Southern/Classic rock bands. As "Thousand Ways", Larry and Will have blended Larry's Alt. Folk originals with Will‘s classic blues leads to form a unique, and often-times unexpected, sound. Stan Malette
More smooth and soothing tenor sax with the focus on the sweet sounds of today's romantic Rhythm and Blues hits.
Stan Malette is a graduate of North Carolina Central University (NCCU) and has performed as a sax player and lived in Siler City for over 20 years. Stan's experiences include R&B, jazz, Reggae, Rap, and Pop bands. He has performed extensively on the East Coast from New York to Atlanta, as well as in Tokyo, Japan. Stan has also directed, produced, and/or written scores for Public Affairs videos, and theater productions.

Kitty Box and the Johnnys
Born in Savannah, Ga. in 1960 to a multimedia voice and personality man and a beautiful artist /social worker. Taz came into this world howling - screamed bloody murder @ thunder as a child, but LOVES a good southern rumbler now. She is a "closet" percussionist- most wish she would keep it there, but I guess she just likes to get back at the thunder that terrified her as a child.

Midway by FUN RIDES AND EVENTS
Inflatable games and rides by ZOE THE CLOWN
Ride and game tickets, $1 each, will be available for purchase at the Midway from carnival staff. Rides and and inflatable games will cost 2 to 4 tickets OR a wrist band will be available for only $20 for unlimited rides and games ($15 after 5:00 PM on Saturday).

From the Courthouse Circle follow Business 64 East toward Raleigh and turn right onto the Fairgrounds Road* -- just east of the Food Lion Shopping Center.

President's Message

Greetings!


It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the 64th Annual Chatham County Agriculture and Industrial Fair, September 18 thru September 21, 2014. We are celebrating 64 years of providing a fair that is fun and affordable for everyone. Once again, we are excited about joining forces with the North Carolina Cooperative Extension Service, Chatham County Center.

On behalf of the board of directors, I would like to invite you to display your arts and crafts, fruits, vegetables and livestock. Please carefully review the different categories listed on the next several pages and plan to enter your products. Registration begins for all non-perishable entries on Monday, September 15 from 1:00 p.m. through 6:00 p.m., and continues from 9:00 a.m. through 6:00 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday. Please note that only perishables will be accepted Thursday morning September 18, 2014 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

Fun Rides and Events, Zoe the Clown and 5 Star Farm from South Carolina will provide a host of fun filled rides, games and special treats for our young kids to enjoy. Don't miss Happy Dan the Magic Man, Saturday and Sunday afternoons. And a very special performance by Platinum Pro Wrestling, "Wrestling the Devil", Sunday evening.

We have a prepared a fun filled four days of events for your enjoyment with music every night, both inside and outside. Come on out bring the family, smell the aroma of the food and enjoy the rides and games!
